About Me
Me
I'm Toni and I love to learn. My husband and I divorced over 8 years ago and I filled the gap by getting into computers. The computer fascinates me with all the excellent things you can do with it. I take full advantage of the cd and dvd-burning capabilities, scanning and digital imaging. When I'm not using the computer for work, there's lots else to do. I have a huge to-do list.
I live in Junee, which is 4 hours south-west of Sydney with my 2 youngest children, Carly and Alex. It's a small town and since moving here from Wagga 6 years ago I've met lots of new friends.
I enjoy tennis and touch football, but feel like I'm getting a bit old for the latter. There was some serious opposition during the summer competition and I was flat out keeping up with them. I had a beetroot-head for hours later. Lucky we're sponsored by the local pub so the social side of it is great. I enjoy reading, music and movies (like most people), and have substantial book, cd and dvd collections.
Family
I have four wonderful children who constantly keep me on the go. Emily and Lauren both live in Wagga Wagga, which is about 20 minutes from me. They both work, buying their own homes with their partners, Kai and Daniel. Lauren and Daniel are expecting a baby at the end of June (05), so no doubt you'll be hearing more about that. Emily and Kai are renovating their home, and every time I visit, something else has been done. It's a slow and costly process that I'm learning about first-hand.
Lauren got married 2 years ago and this is one of the wedding photos. Emily was her bridesmaid, Carly- the flower girl, and Alex- the ring-bearer.
Carly is 12 now and started high school this year. She's trying hard too and I'm proud of her. Carly is very athletic, and last year represented our area for Touch Football. Alex is 10 and into all sorts of boy things. His current fad is fishing, but he also enjoys bikes, scooters, and roller-blades. We have a good skate-park only a short distance from home and Alex is usually there. He talks about spines, ollies, rails, the box, the bowl, and leaves me totally confused.
Work
I run a small computer business where I fix computers and make website. I have a web design website that I'm redesigning at the moment. If you're looking for website design, you can check out my website at www.juneemagic.com. I've included a resource section with downloads and javascript and dhtml code to help out any would-be webmasters, and that is proving more popular than anyone wanting me to design their site for them. Fair enough too. I didn't want to pay either. I wanted to learn it myself and I approve of anyone else doing the same.
I have designed several websites over the last five years, including my own site called Junee Magic, where I offer site design and webmaster resources. I update and maintain the sites as necessary. Other sites I've made include:
- Building & Environmental Services Today
- Junee ALIVE Games Site
- Back To Basics
- First Class Removals
- The Playground
- Spitting Into the Wind
- Toni's Alternate World
- Loving You
- The Billy Lids
- Fully Sick
Lately I'm forever finding myself fixing someone else's computer. Usually the problem is trojans and spyware, but occasionally I come across something that has me scouring the forums and newsgroups to find the answers. That's certainly helped to add to my computer knowledge and I'm continually learning yet still feel I don't know very much.
