Hello and Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, etc to everyone. I've had a lovely Christmas. The kids were a little disappointed with their xmas stockings this year, all the big presents were wrapped so their early morning start didn't bring the same excitement as last year.
Carly's birthday was lovely on Christmas Eve as well. The whole family with Kate and Kane and Keely all went out for tea, and we exchanged xmas gifts with Christine's and Graham's family in Wagga. I even managed to fix Kai's computer after we had tea. I think his problem was with Internet Explorer, because I installed another browser and he was able to access the sites that IE kept getting errors with and shutting down. Don't you just hate that. He was very happy when we left.
I was up until 2am Christmas Morning doing the Santa thing, and up again at 6am, so not alot of sleep. I went back to bed at 8 and managed an hour of dozing, but I had the wierdest dream and woke up feeling so groggy I wished I'd have just stayed up. Lunch at mum's was lovely and then the kids went to their father's for the afternoon. Emily and Kai came over for lunch, and Lauren and Daniel came for tea. It was a nice day.
Yesterday Alex and I watched a couple of DVDs, The Chronicles of Riddick was really good. Thoroughly enjoyed that. Alex lost the new remote control plane he got off his father for Christmas so we spent a while scouring the streets and back lanes with no luck. I scanned the picture off the box it came in, and made him up some posters to put around town. I hope someone finds it and brings it back for him. It's pretty useless to anyone else because he's got all the controllers.
Today we got a couple more DVDs, Starsky & Hutch, and Hellboy (which Alex wants to save for tonight). I've had a lazy couple of days, so today I'm also doing a heap of washing and cleaning up. Tonight we'll have a decent meal. Vegetables!!!! Getting a bit sick of all the ham, turkey and chicken and salads. The fridge is still full of Christmas food, but the kids aren't too interested in eating any of it.
The e-mails haven't slowed down over Christmas, which is a bit of a surprise because I thought they would. Surely everyone else had xmas visiting and relaxing to do too!!
