CSS

Slowly but surely, I'm getting there with CSS. It's a whole new way of designing a website without the use of tables. I've been checking the source code of nearly every site I visit to get an idea of how many sites take advantage of CSS. Most sites though, are still using tables. I've read that nested tables take a long time to load. The same is true when you use alot of images. So, my new overhaul will use few images, and be designed solely with CSS. It's all very interesting.

I'm learning much, but relying heavily on CSS references, there's so much to learn, and my goal is to become proficient. After all, I'm making a claim as "webmaster", and must learn to master this too. It will be the web design of the future, and if I want any work I will know all about it.

There's a couple of excellent sites worth looking at. Eric Meyers CSS, The CSS Zen Garden, Stu Nicholls, Dave Shea's site, Claire Campbell's site, and the list goes on. Why not check them out and let me know what you think of the power of CSS.
