Random quotes pulled from sideblog with mysql query

I've worked my way through another tutorial on the Learning Movable Type website. Querying a MySQL database with PHP - Random Quotes was an easy tutorial with Elise providing all the necessary code.

The first step was to create another weblog and set it up for my quotes. There are free daily quotes that can be pulled into your site just by using javascript code, but I've found you can't format these scripts to look like the rest of the site. Alot of work just to get a block of text to fit in? I don't think so. The whole thing was a learning process, and since I can have up to 5 weblogs on MT, why not use them?

The next step was to decide where to put the query for MySql. I decided to put it below my public directory so it would be secure. Then it's just a matter of putting the php-include script inside a div with a class property to properly format the quotes.
