I've been trying to change the templates for this weblog, and boy, what a challenge it has been. If anyone has tried to modify the templates, you'll know what I'm talking about.
I've scrapped some ideas and adopted others. The more I'm fiddling the more I'm learning also. I usually don't let things beat me, but it takes hours sometimes to do the littlest thing.
For instance, the search function wouldn't work. I kept coming up with "oops", until I copied mt-search.cgi, and renamed it mt-search.pl, which is what the error was. Now it's working fine, and I'm relieved.
The header is another problem entirely. I want to put a picture in there, and I'm still working on that. I've looked at the code on other's sites and got it to work sort of, it's all in the CSS file and I'm still learning that too.
But I'll get there.
