Catching Up

|

I've had a rather rejuvenating weekend, trying to do very little but accomplishing much. Saturday was bitterly cold - winter is well and truly on the way. Alex had football in the morning and we went rugged up like we were off to the snow, hats, gloves, scarves, and still we froze. The boys had a convincing win. On the way home we grabbed some chicken wings and a couple of DVDs and I settled down in front of the TV with the heater going, enjoying a thoroughly lazy afternoon.

Today I've had all the mundane chores to catch up on, and I've started on the webpages for friends of mine that own a furniture removals business. I'm feeling calmer after a hectic week, finally on top of things.

Lauren finished work on Friday and has 4 weeks at home before little Zeke is due. She has everything that she needs except the pram I'm going to buy her, which we'll probably go shopping next week to look at. Her father came down from Queenbeyan last weekend and repainted the nursery for her and paid for new carpet that will be getting laid this week. I think he's looking forward to being a grandfather. I'm not feeling particularly clucky or excited yet, I think it takes that first cuddle and smell of a newborn to get those feelings.
