It was with a bit of shock today that I read Rene Rivkin had killed himself. All that money and in the end it didn't make any difference, the poor bugger died of a broken heart.

The convicted insider trader was found dead on Sunday in his mother's Darling Point apartment in Sydney, just weeks after splitting with his wife Gayle.
His lawyer Greg Walsh said Mr Rivkin's suicide was inevitable. Rene Rivkin was determined to take his own life as he battled depression, bipolar disorder and the shame of his corporate demise, his lawyer says.

Another news story that got my attention was one claiming IT staff could not be trusted. Apparently IT people are more likely to download copyrighted material and the company would be liable.

Company directors need to be wary of devious IT workers, according to the Federation Against Software Theft.

Alex came first in Shotput at the school athletics carnival today, so it looks like we're off to the next level. It was a perfect day and I helped out as a time-keeper. It was strange not having Carly there, but since it was held at the high school oval, we saw her at recess and lunch. Alex did well in the running events but was out-raced by some especially quick little kids. He ended up 3rd in Discus and was in the 100m relay as well.

And, there on television, she said it was "exciting." Regarding body changes, she said there were many, occurring every day...like her breasts.They seem to be in a race to see which will reach her waist first.

The audience laughed so hard they cried. She is such a simple and honest woman, with so much wisdom in her words!
