My head won't stop spinning tonight. I've had a loan approved for renovations to my house and everything seems to be happening at once. The idea to renovate began a year ago and I had big plans that should have been completed by last Christmas. Plans don't always turn out how you think. My biggest problem has been lining up a builder, they all seemed to be booked out for months in advance, and I couldn't get a quote, although 3 different guys came around the measure up. Finally, a year later I have a builder to take on the job.
The work entails enclosing a side verandah and taking out 2 walls from inside, extending the lounge-room to twice it's size. Then I want the whole house gyprocked inside. I have a whole house to pack up and move out, and then I need to think about somewhere else to stay for about a month. It's a daunting prospect, with just me to do it all. I won't have the spare time I've had for blogging and designing, and am still hopeful about getting the job I applied for last week. I won't have time to scratch myself. For months there's been little work and no prospect of sudden renovations, but it's all happening now.
I organised all the paperwork for the bank today, and got a payout figure on my car (which is higher than I thought it should be), and now can't wait to see the quote to know whether I've asked for enough money. Worrisome.
