Remember...
The blind are quick to hear...
The deaf to see.
Master Chen Hai Yang

It's been raining every day since the weekend and although the rain is desperately needed it couldn't have come at a worse time for me. It looks like the building may be postponed for a couple of weeks due to the snail-pace of the bank. They rang me yesterday to say the paperwork was finally being sent off but would take a week to come back, and then another week to organise the finance. That wasn't what I wanted to hear. I've packed up most of the kitchen, only leaving out 3 plates and bowls and the minimum amount of cooking utensils. Our loungeroom is nearly empty, only the lounge and TV are left, no curtains or blinds and a terrible echo in there, and I'm worried about the boxes in the shed getting wet with all the rain. There's a few nail holes in the shed roof that leak so I'll have to go down there with a tarp later and cover the lot. That is after I find one box in particular. All my personal papers are packed, and I have to provide a report for the school so Alex can get some special tutoring. I have a bad feeling I threw the report out when I had the big clean-out, but I better check to be sure.

When life gives you lemons, make some lemonadeI have the interview this afternoon for the part-time job I've applied for and I'm quite nervous. I keep trying to imagine all the scenario questions that I may be asked and the only answer that comes to me is 'If in doubt, Ask'. I'm in a quandary over what to wear. It's freezing and a skirt doesn't seem appealing at all. Perhaps a black pants suit. I had my hair cut this morning and Debbie (my hair-dresser) did a wonderful job, I look like I'm off to a wedding, not an interview. Appearance is everything, and perhaps my answers to their questions. I'll be disappointed if I don't get this job. Applications closed last Friday for the other job I applied for but I've heard nothing from them. There's lots of driving involved with that one and what with the price of petrol continually going up I'm concerned about how beneficial that job will be financially. I'm paying $1.10/litre in Wagga and $1.18 here in Junee.

Petrol here in the UK is A$2.09/litre
