Queen's Birthday Long Weekend

Remember...
Empty is the clear path to heaven...
Crowded is the dark road to hell.
Master Chen Hai Yang

Tonight I'm sitting amidst a shambles. I've been packing up all day and there's boxes and bits'n'pieces everywhere. I borrowed a trolley and have been backwards and forwards to the shed so many times I lost count. The neighbourhood kids all helped to carry boxes and saved my back. Time for a giant cull: not everything will come back inside. I've got five huge boxes of books that were a killer to shift, and I'm seeing what a terrible hoarder I've been.

ilovemycomputer.jpgThe big question is what to do about my beloved computer. No point taking it to mum's because the broadband only works on my telephone line, so I'll have to take up positions in the house out of the way of the builders. I can then access my e-mail and give progress reports, and continue to update the websites I manage and do any new work. That's if I don't get the job I've applied for, the interview is Thursday.

The best way to have a friend is to be oneFriday I came across two new trojan that wrought havoc in my friend's computer. I spent a few hours Friday evening trying to fix the problem, but with little luck. Tonight he rang to say he's ready to wipe the hard-drive and re-install everything. In other words can I do it for him. Just how I'll fit that in I'm not sure yet. Carly and Alex are staying with their father tonight and I had beers and pizza with friends. We were invited to a bonfire with fireworks last night at my brother's house but we had the first rain for months and it poured night and day. Excellent for the farmers but not so great for the bonfire so it was a stay-at-home night. Alex and I watch DVDs. Son of the Mask, which was funny, and Saw, which was quite frightening. I really enjoyed it. Tomorrow is a holiday and I need to hunt for more boxes and keep packing.
