Photos of My New Grandson

Ezekiel Joseph SalmonI finally got around to getting all the photos off the camera that I've taken over the last six weeks. I'll upload them all to the Gallery but here's a few of my new grandson, Zeke. He's just gorgeous - red hair, eyebrows so fair you can't see them, and blue eyes. Lauren's colour and Daniel's eyes.

Lauren and ZekeEmily brought Lauren and Zeke over for a visit this afternoon, and although I didn't get to spend much time with them (Carly had a Doctor's appointment where we waited one and a half hours to get in), I did get to have a nurse of Zeke and tried to settle him. You quickly forget how small babies are in the first few, they grow so quickly. Zeke has already outgrown the little hat he wore when he left the hospital!

The Salmon FamilyI was offered another two hours work a day that will start on Monday. Instead of 10 to 2, I'll be working 9 to 3.30. Perfect school hours. I'll be learning about Spatial software, GPS tracking, mapping, etc, it's quite exciting.

In April, Maya Angelou was interviewed by Oprah on her 70+ birthday.

Oprah asked her what she thought of growing older.

And, there on television, she said it was "exciting." Regarding body changes, she said there were many, occurring every day...like her breasts.They seem to be in a race to see which will reach her waist first.

The audience laughed so hard they cried. She is such a simple and honest woman, with so much wisdom in her words!
