Remember...
Pleasures are shallow...
Sorrows are deep.

Tomorrow the carpet will be laid and we can get some furniture into the lounge room. Even though the kids and I are still fighting over the one bean-bag, the house is starting to feel like home again. After 5 weeks away and coming back to a totally new look, I'm starting to feel comfortable.
I finished a book tonight called "Thomas", about the life of Thomas Becket. A fascinating read about the Church and the British kings, and life at the time. Mum dragged it out of an old box of books and sat with her nose in it for a week, which made me eager to read what kept her so enthralled. It's taken me about 4 weeks to read. I've still got a shed half-full of boxes that can be unpacked after the carpet is laid tomorrow, and all the wall furnishings to put back up. Shelves and blinds, curtain hooks, a little nail here and there and the house is starting to look lived in.
On the work front, I've been asked to help look after the Junee Council website, which is excellent news! I'll have to learn how to use Net Objects Fusion, and its another learning curve. Work is good. I look forward to dressing up in the mornings and trotting off to work. Usually during winter I wear little else but track-suits and ugg boots.
It's a pleasure also not to have to worry about the size of my blog any more. For the last couple of weeks I'd been pondering the dilemma of my web host. I even considered hosting my own site, but learning Apache or IIS would have taken too long, meanwhile I couldn't post anything and was over my 100 MB webspace limit. It wasn't too long ago that I upgraded from a Personal site to Business size. I tried cutting down the size of the blog by eliminating all the monthly archives, and it freed up a little space, but a few spammy emails and I'm back to my quota again. The few posts I read on the problem made me look for cheap hosting, and coming across an unlimited space site, with cheap yearly fees (less than $60 AU) convinced me. Now I can tap away every night and rest easy that I won't be looking for more size. After all, size is important!!
