Remember...
Abroad we judge the dress...
At home we judge the man.

Yesterday Lauren celebrated her 24th birthday so Carly, Alex and I went to Wagga last night to celebrate with her and Daniel and Zeke. Emily and Kai were there too. We had a feast of Chinese selections for tea, and mud cake for dessert. A couple of Lauren's friends dropped in with gifts for her and I think she had a great night. I know we did. It was 10:30 before we got home so it was straight to bed for the kids.
Emily was to start a new job today so I hope all went well for her. She had a great job but the boss was ripping her off big-time. No superannuation had been paid for over a year, and in the three years Emily worked there, her pay never went up. When she did complain about it, she was treated like the worst person in the world, and her 25 hours a week dropped to 6, and none for the last 3 weeks. Narelle, if you ever read this, karma will get you. Good luck in the new job Emily.
Kai was very pleased Emily got a job, it's a big shock to the system when suddenly you rely on one income. That's why planning a family is so important. It's no fun when you have no money.
I'm loving this mobile networking. I can watch tv, spend time with the kids, and still tap away on the keyboard. The other two wireless network cards arrived in the post today and so tonight we're all enjoying wireless networking and there's no ugly and dangerous cords snaking throughout the house. I'm rapt, and feeling rather pleased with myself that the install went so smoothly. True plug and play. It looks like I'll need to install the same network protocols on all computers to get file sharing to work properly on all the computers, a two-minute job and we're done.
