Network All Screwed Up

Remember...
Honey in his mouth...
Knives in his heart.

For the last 4 hours I've been trying to get the laptop on-line. Why all the network configuration gets screwed up is beyond me. It goes along fine for a while then for some obscure reason I can't connect to the internet or the network, it's often one or the other, this time it was both. This time round I've given all the network cards static IP addresses and auto for the router. On previous configurations I used dynamic IPs with alternate addresses. Seems I'm always crossing my fingers when it comes to the network!

It's the beginning of a 3-day long weekend and I'm so looking forward to staying home for a few days. I might be able to get a few more boxes unpacked. There's plenty in the shed still. Carly is keen to go shopping in Wagga tomorrow, and I plan to buy some new work shirts, but for the next few days I plan on enjoying the holiday. I'm listing to the late news and it's all bad. Bird flu seems to be the next big thing to worry about. The prediction of 1.5 million people dying is an uneasy thought to contemplate. The government has stockpiled all the preventative medication for it so look out if someone falls ill, especially in a small town.

Petrol has been steadily rising for the last few months with no relief in sight. Now fresh produce is going up to compensate for the fuel increase and the consumer is copping the increases from every direction. We're driving to Queensland next February, a 14-hour drive, and I hate to think what we will be paying for petrol by then.
