After 4 days of frustrations I've managed finally to rid myself of the Proxy Trojan that's been stuffing off the home network: turning off Windows Firewall and even unsharing the broadband router. I've been more than a little pissed off, and whoever is responsible for writing that little gem is lucky I don't know them. Spyware Doctor first detected the trojan, and upgrading to the new version (for AU$45) was the only way I managed to clean things up. Makes you wonder, huh? The new version came with lots of extra features, like

- Browser Guard
- Spyware Cookie Guard
- Malware Immunizer
Along with the antivirus, ad-watch monitor, and firewall I'm hoping I've covered myself against more attacks. It's hard to understand where the trojan and virus writers are coming from.
