No End of Problems

Remember...
To build it took 100 years...
To destroy it, one day.
Master Chen Hai Yang

We have four computers at home all networked and sharing a broadband internet connection. Sometimes it all works beautifully and sometimes there's mayhem because there's no ICS or filesharing. I'd like to know why one day it works and the next it doesn't. It's so frustrating. At the moment I have a red light on the WAP saying no LAN, I might need to reinstall the software. Last Wednesday night I lost the internet connection completely and after exhausting every possibility it turned out to be a fault with the telephone company, though they wouldn't cop to it. Perhaps it was a damaged line. Anyway, by Friday lunchtime it was working again, but in the meantime it was Norton Ghost to the rescue again, though it wasn't necessary. I rolled back the system by 10 days, and it's amazing what extra content you can add to your computer in only 10 days. Before any rollbacks I would suggest to people to backup email, any downloads that are half complete, and any new content in the my docs folder. Some of this I did, the email I didn't, but there was nothing too stressful to deal with, except little annoying things like passwords in IE and personal settings that seem to have gotten screwed up.
