Back to Work and Reality

Remember...
Gold has its price...
Learning is beyond price.
Master Chen Hai Yang

It was back to work for me today and boy, didn't I have some catching up to do! I was flat out like a lizard drinking all day and still have a day's work waiting for me tomorrow. Tonight my neck is aching from sitting in front of the computer all day.

We're back to reality with bills to pay and I had the car registration due as soon as we got back from the Gold Coast. Thank God I've been given a reprieve with the new tyres I thought I needed. Carly is training again twice a week in Wagga for touch football and is off to Wollongong on Friday evening for the State Cup. We've had school books to cover and I need to fix up some school fees. The bank account is in a rather sad state so the purse strings have been pulled tighter than usual. Kids just don't seem to get it that we're scraping the bottom of the barrel, wondering why they can't buy school lunch and get the goodies they usually expect. I've had a payrise at work so that will ease the burden: an extra $1.50 an hour that I'm over the moon about.

Lao-Tzu

"A tree that can fill the span of a man's arms grows from a downy tip; A terrace nine storeys high rises from handfuls of earth; A journey of a thousand miles starts from beneath one's feet."
