I started this post last Friday when I was at home enjoying a rostered day off.
I'm having a day at home and it's so nice to potter around without the kids running through the house. It's a rare event when I get to be home alone.
My internet isn't working and I'm waiting for the ISP to recode my telephone line. I've just switched carriers and had the DSL speed changed and it's caused my internet to drop out. They've assured me I'll be back online this afternoon, so in the meantime I'm using wBlogger to write my post.
Saturday now and still no internet. My DSL provider is saying Monday now. I'm not at all happy about the situation, especially over the weekend when I do most of my online work. It's rather frustrating not being able to look something up, I wonder what I did before Google?
This morning Alex played football. The season has officially kicked off and I was asked to score. The other team were much bigger than our boys, but we managed a 12-4 win so they haven't lost it since last year. We're less kids this year and less parents to help out. I brought all the football guernseys home to wash and they look good hanging on the line. Yesterday Alex went to Wagga to try out for the school rugby team. He was selected to try for the Riverina team on May 5th. A few boys from Junee were picked, and I expect a few will get selected for the Riverina team. We'll have to wait and see if Alex is one of them.
Carly went to the football this morning with us and has stayed down there. It's cold and windy, a taste of what's to come is in the air today. A good day for washing though!!
Monday night now and it's taken me hours just to wade through all the email I couldn't download for the last 4 days. Talk about not happy. When I came home for lunch and saw the modem light was still orange I was straight back on the phone letting them know I was not a happy customer. Today I was told it could take from 3 to 5 working days. Not the story I got last Friday. Saturday I rang the telephone provider and wanted something done, and their response was to get me to sign up with them. Anyway, thank God I'm back online, I'm can stop thinking my throat's cut now.

I have less than a year now to give up smoking, I promised the kids I'd give up before I turn 50. The count-down has begun.
