I managed to get my hands on an updated beta version of Internet Explorer version 7 and was impressed with the fixes for CSS display. IE 7 has a new interface that shows more of each webpage you visit, tabbed browsing, better support for RSS feeds, Phishing Filter, a selection of browser add-ons and a huge improvement in the overall performance. It's not available for public download yet, and if your version of Windows isn't legal you'll have problems installing it, though there are ways around that. To test the beta version you can download it here, but you won't be able to download it if you don't have a Genuine copy of Windows.
Now it seems that all those hacks that I introduced into my stylesheets will need to be re-visited. I'm getting the same look now that I get in Firefox, and the tabs have always looked different in Firefox, and my Photo Gallery tabs look how they are supposed to. In IE now the Gallery tabs are way too big, text is much bigger, and I'm not quite sure how I will correct them.
My stylesheets are custom-made (so to speak) and when I upgraded MT to 3.2 I kept all the old templates I was using because of all the customisations I'd made. There's no quick fix.
