Footy Finals in Temora

You are wasting those prayers to Buddah.

Alex had his mate Taran sleep last night and today he came with us to Temora to watch Alex play in the first round of the finals against Tumut. I thought it would be a hard game. Tumut beat the boys last year in the Grand Final after our boys went through the year on the top of the ladder. Today they beat them 38 to 0. A very convincing win. Next week Tumut play against the combined Gundagai - Adelong team, and Junee plays the winners in a fortnight. It could be Tumut again, but I think it will be Gundagai. They've been Junee's toughest competition all year.

That's Alex, No. 3, about to get smothered by the Tumut players.

Tonight we all went to the circus. There were heaps of families that I knew there, even though it was a freezing night. My feet, hands and bum were numb with cold before long and clapping didn't warm me up. Some people were prepared, with blankets and pillows. The show was good. I'm always amazed at how acrobatic and fit these circus people are. Even the older women, and there was a couple, had pretty good bodies. There were plenty of acts: jugglers, a plate spinner, whip-cracker, hoola-hoop spinner, tight-rope walker, unicycles, tricky little dogs, horses, camels and elephants. What more could you want from a circus. Certainly aimed at the younger children, but I think we all enjoyed our cold night out.
