Remember...
A bad word whispered...
Will echo a thousand miles.

We had a big day yesterday at Gundagai. We left home about 9 and got to Gundagai in time for a McDonald's breakfast. The drive there was lovely. The scenery around Gundagai is beautiful and I was wishing more than once throughout the day that I had remembered to bring the camera. Grand final day of all days to forget the camera!
It was a great day for Junee. We had three teams in and they all won. Alex scored the first try for his team and later kicked a goal, so he was feeling pretty proud of himself after the game. I decided to stay and watch all the games and it was nearly 6 by the time we got home.
The boys ended up having to play Tumut again, and this time it was a much tougher game. Tumut scored from a penalty in the first 2 minutes and scored again with 4 minutes remaining in the first half, making the score 12-0. Alex scored a goal in the corner with 2 minutes to go and Andrew Heffernan scored again in the last few seconds of the first half, making the score 12 all going into the break. John Clune, the coach, gave a very animated speech at half time, with arms flying everywhere. It did the trick because Junee were on fire when they came back on, with three more tries from Andrew Heffernan and one each from Hamish Dunbar and Will Holt. All the tries were converted to 6-pointers, making the score 42-12 with 1 minute left in the game when Tumut scored a late try. It was a fantastic grand final game.

A win!! Hurrah and Bravo!! Well done, boys!! I'm glad you had good weather because here in England we have a day of storm, rain and the best place to be is here at my computer! Erik
We really need rain here but what with all the sport my kids play any rain is unwelcome unless it falls during the week. We're in the midst of a drought and all the dams are empty but it looks deceiving because everything is so green.
