The Quiet is Over

Wow, it's been quiet around here for the last few days. On Wednesday, Alex had to be at the school at 7:30am to catch the bus for their school excursion to Canberra. I got home from work Tuesday and he had his bag all packed, which I had to re-pack, and he was so excited I couldn't get him to bed. They had 3 days in Canberra and I picked him up from the bus this afternoon. He had no voice, and sounds rather funny, because all he wanted to talk about was girls! There was another school staying at the same motel and Alex managed to get a few girls' email addresses, and there was some jealousy amoung the other boys. Alex is only 11 so it came as a bit of a surprise that he is so interested in girls already.

Alex had a sore throat before he went to Canberra, and Carly complained about a sore throat today and didn't go to school. I told her she could stay home but not to make any plans for the weekend if she was "sick". I don't need a house full of sick kids again. We went through the same thing only a month ago!

I had a quiet week at work. Just busy enough to keep me going, but nothing hectic. It was good. One of the other typists is taking two weeks holiday so Michelle and I should be kept busy with correspondence, and our normal work.
