Holding onto anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned.

I looked like I was off to the snow for the day when we set out for football this morning. It was the coldest day so far this winter, and it required hats, gloves, scarves and thermals. I couldn't wait to get back to the warmth of home. The boys drew 24 all against Harden-Booroowa, a hard-fought game that went try for try. We were lucky to win, scoring the last try with only minutes to go, making the score equal.
I spent a few hours on E-Bay this afternoon and bought myself a new camera. A Megxon S3 Slim Digital Camera - 11.0MP Max and 4x Digital Zoom - 2.0" Colour LCD with Docking Station. I paid $104, much less than previous cameras I've owned and this with better picture quality, so I hope I've got a good one. There's a 90-day warranty, but I'm sure if something goes wrong, it will happen after the warranty expires... it always seems to be the way!
Meanwhile, I'll be happy-snapping some beautiful grandchildren, and can record videos. Perfect for my new granddaughter, whose arrival is only 4 weeks away. We're going to Wagga again tomorrow and Alex has planned another 9 holes of golf with Kai, so we'll visit with Emily while they're gone. At least she has ducted heating: it will be heavenly. She has one more week at work to go and can be a lady of leisure for the following 3 weeks while she waits for the birth of her first child. Assuming of course that Scarlet arrives on time. (I'm not sure how Emily plans on spelling the name, hope that's right!)
For the last couple of months I've been engrossed in a series of books from Raymond E Feist. It's all magic and adventure in the fantasy world of Midkemia. I'm afraid I'm addicted, and with these cold days I love to sit in front of the heater with a book, and escape into the pages. If my posts seem to be infrequent of late, therein lies the reason.

I have less than a year now to give up smoking, I promised the kids I'd give up before I turn 50. The count-down has begun.
