Changing Rooms

Tonight Carly and Alex have decided to swap bedrooms and the lounge room looks like a second-hand store. You can't move in there. I've decided to let them go ahead, for once they're actually doing something together, and agreeing for a change. As long as the rooms are in some sort of order by midnight I don't mind the mess.

Last Saturday night Alex thought he broke his big toe, and when it swelled and went black, I thought he might have been right! The frozen peas to the rescue once again! The swelling went down some after a while, but he had 3 days off school. Tuesday I took him over to Wagga to have it X-rayed, and (relief) nothing was broken. He didn't play football today so we went over to Wagga for the day instead. I had to get a new power steering rack for the car, and it needed a wheel alignment, so I booked it in where I bought the new tyres earlier in the year and got them to rotate the wheels, balance and align them, and it only cost $33. A good deal for a change!

We dropped in on Lauren and Daniel and Zeke while we were in Wagga and Lauren only has 2 weeks to go until there's another baby in their house. Daniel's poppa died last Tuesday, which was very sad, he was a lovely old man. He died in his sleep, which I think is how I would like to go too.

Work has been extremely busy now that I'm doing the PA work for the GM as well as all the development stuff. I have property files piled up around me, and I'm afraid our stats aren't going to look as good now. The Building Surveyor and I had a great system going: applications in one day - approved and out the next (unless it was a subdivision and had to go to a Council meeting for approval). Now it's taking 3-4 days.

My computer is still playing silly buggers. The problem seems to last about the first half-hour after I turn it on, then things settle down and everything works fine. It's frustrating not being able to fix it: I'm one of these people who perserveres until the prolem is solved. I've searched every keyword I can think of on the net to see if anyone else has had the same problems, and used nearly every cleaner I can put my hands on. My computer is as clean as a whistle. I keep getting "Congratulations", except it doesn't make me feel good.
