Loving You

One day I looked into your eyes

And in their depths I found

Something I'd been searching for

Which makes the world go around.

The reason to go on living again

And making life worthwhile

To take my place in society

It was there within your smile.

And as I look into your eyes

I rise to heights unknown

To achieve my life fulfillment

And so I write this poem.

For truly you inspire in me

Words that express

my deepest thoughts

Devotion to you indeed.

We both know the last few years have been a little rough

And I suppose it's true to say we've both had quite enough

But though they seem enormous our love is strong and true

No matter what the problem is I know we'll see it through.

I'd like to tell you how much I love you

and I hope you know that I do...

I wish that the words I speak so gently to you

could be heard by your heart

with the same meanings

and the same soft feelings of love

that they carry from deep within me.


For more than you know...

I love so many things about you...

More than just the way you hold me

and the warmth you give me,

I enjoy sharing life with you.

More than you know...

and more than I can ever say

I feel a wonderful thankfulness in my heart

just for you


And I want you to remember

though my thoughts don't always convey,

and my feelings don't always show

I love you and I always will

...More than you know.

In loving you I have experienced

the happiness, the hurt,

the feeling of forever,

the need to be with you and love you

It's all here inside of me.

It's you I always think about

It's you I always miss,

and it will always be you

because you are the one I love.

To me love means forever

No-one will ever take your place

or know me as you do

You always know what I'm thinking

and what I'm feeling deep down.

I'll never love anyone the way I love you.

A single perfect scarlet rose

It's petals damp with dew

Damp with Nature's morning tears

Like the tears I shed for you.

The beauty of the new-born day

Brings a longing to my heart

A longing for your tender touch

That I miss when we're apart.

The rose will die and wither

Bit it's memory will ever die

And we will meet again

And we'll be back together

We'll forget the times we spent alone

Because then we'll have forever

... And then the plant will flower again.
