We were all warned when we were kids… Did we listen? Do not swallow bubblegum!

Guys would no doubt love this dress. Not too hard to guess what would happen if she bent over.
The annual Nimbin MardiGrass was held on 3rd and 4th May 2008, with lots of police presence. This year the festival focused on the Cannabis Law Reform Rally.
Here's a couple of photos from the event.

Here's an idea for a Christmas present for someone you're not particularly fond of.... Ouch!!

I love cool and unusual tattoos. This "angry eye" looks so real, even down to the bloodshot whites. It's looking at you from the back of the guy's leg!

This looks real enough that I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up dead or behind bars for a concealed weapon. Imagine a cop seeing that? I don't think he'd ask if it was real before shooting.

Very clever!! Who comes up with these ideas....

Another belly-button tattoo. I like this one because although it's a bad Bart drawing, we all know he's a little arsehole!

When you call Customer Service and speak to someone in India who speaks English, but cannot solve your problem, perhaps it's a fault in the wiring?

Villagers look on as a snake is found that has eaten one of the locals.

The snake is sliced open

The body of the missing local is found inside

This is graphic in the extreme. Anyone for a cigarette?

Fourteen years ago I was in hospital after having one of my children, and smoking was allowed on the balcony then, but only on one floor. I went down to the 2nd storey balcony and used to sit with a woman who had just had her second leg amputated at the knee through smoking. We used to sit and enjoy our cigarettes together. Losing two legs to tobacco hadn't stopped her from smoking.

This puts a whole new twist on frog mouth...

And whooa... get a gander at the size of this frog...

This is a picture of a public toilet in Houston:

Now that you've seen the outside view, take a look at the inside view...

It's made entirely of one-way glass! No one can see you from the outside, but when you are inside it's like sitting in a clear glass box!
Now would you... COULD YOU... use it?!
Here's a timely reminder of what can happen if you get too much sun. With summer heat upon us, it's a good idea to Slip, Slop, Slap, and wear a Hat.

How painful would this be! This imagine shows an example of a body modification practice known as corset piercing. According to Wikipedia,
"A corset piercing is a series of surface piercings done to emulate the appearance of the lacing on the back of a corset. Two rows of bilaterally symmetrical piercings are performed and can be composed of as few as four piercings (two in each row) or as many as the length of the area being pierced (usually the back) and the vertical space between piercings will allow space for. Due to the difficulty and risks associated with permanently healing single surface piercings, most corset piercings are intended to be temporary in nature."

Temporary corset piercings are open wounds, and are subject to the same infection, cross contamination, and irritation risks as any other healing piercing or small wound. Scarring from the removal of temporary piercings is usually minimal or non-existent.

I must admit to a certain squeamishness when I view these images. If you're interested, there's plenty of pictures online.
Must give up smoking and wear pyjamas to bed.

A van was stopped at the US-Mexico border on August 8, 2006 where police discovered 3 people sewn into the upholstery of the seats.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers arrested a U.S. man Tuesday morning after they say he tried to smuggle three migrants into the country hidden in the seats of his vehicle.
"This case illustrates the length to which smugglers will go to transport undocumented people into the United States," said Adele Fasano, director of field operations in San Diego. "This involved good basic police work by alert CBP officers who intercepted this case."

This is from up in the Yukon, where polar bears are known to roam. This guy is lucky to be alive. The guy survived a bear attack. The bear jumped on him while he was sleeping in his tent and he managed to get it off of him and shoot it.

The Honda rider was travelling at such a "very high speed", his reaction time was not sufficient enough to avoid this accident. Swedish Police estimate a speed of 250 KM/h (155mph) before the bike hit the slow moving car side-on at an intersection. At that speed, they predicted that the rider's reaction time (once the vehicle came into view) wasn't sufficient enough for him to even apply the brakes. The car had two passengers and the bike rider was found INSIDE the car with them. The Volkswagen actually flipped over from the force of impact and landed 10 feet from where the collision took place.
All three involved (two in car and rider) were killed instantly. This graphic demonstration was placed at the Stockholm Motorcycle Fair by the Swedish Police and Road Safety Department. The sign above the display also noted that the rider had only recently obtained his license.
At 250 KM (155 mph) the operator is traveling at 227 feet per second. With normal reaction time to SEE-DECIDE-REACT of 1.6 seconds the above operator would have traveled over 363 feet while making a decision on what actions to take. In this incident the Swedish police indicate that no actions were taken.
This alligator was found near a house between Athens and Palestine, Texas.
Joe Goff, 6'5" tall, a game warden with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, walks past the 23-foot, 1-inch alligator that he shot and killed.
The alligator looks so pre-historic, and looking at the head reminds me of dinosaurs. He must have been a great age, because like the dinosaurs, they keep on growing. Apparently the owners of the house near where the alligator was caught, thought that people were exaggerating when they were warned about the monster alligator.

Here's more horror photos of a hand caught in a mincer. This time the victim is a child..

I'm surprised this sight wasn't the cause of a major traffic pile-up.
