My Overloaded Brain

God, I feel like I should have a head the size of a pumpkin! I seem to be literally soaking up information and I stop to wonder sometimes just how much your brain can take. Work has been non-stop. It's coming up Business Paper time again and I'll be doing it for the third time. It takes a week to gather reports from all the various departments, and days of typing and photocopying to have it out to the Councillors before their monthly meeting. It's a stressful week because of deadlines and delays. Co-ordinating the Community Transport for the last 3 weeks has left me exhausted, and I was so happy to hand it back over to the usual co-ordinator when she came back from holidays yestery.

I'm also learning to create new modules in the software that Council uses to keep track of everything, and it's an intensive exercise. There's so much to know, but it's interesting and I enjoy getting into the setup side of the program. I'm looking forward to getting my head fully around it.

There's been constant phone calls for building enquiries, development application submissions and approvals and I'm so happy it's Friday and I can forget it all until Monday.
